Riccardo Muti and the Chicago Symphony Orchestra will wrap their season this weekend with a characteristic when-worlds-collide program of fiddle virtuosity and Austrian mysticism.

Concertmaster Robert Chen will be the soloist in the uninhibited showoffery of Paganini’s Violin Concerto No. 1, and Muti will close the evening leading the CSO musicians in Bruckner’s majestic Symphony No. 6.

Performances are 8 p.m. Friday, 8 p.m. Saturday and 3 p.m. Sunday. cso.org; 312-294-3000.
