I am very happy to announce that we will open up our third regional music website next month when we launch Boston Classical Review.

Boston has a long and celebrated history as one of the nation’s leading classical music centers, in no small part due to the storied Boston Symphony Orchestra. Yet the city also boasts two enterprising opera companies, the Handel and Haydn Society, the Boston Philharmonic, Boston Modern Orchestra Project, a wealth of early and Baroque ensembles, and an array of top universities and music conservatories.

As with our previous successful sites, Chicago Classical Review and South Florida Classical Review, Boston Classical Review will cover the city’s music scene comprehensively with reviews, advances, feature articles, critic picks and a daily calendar of events, drawing on the finest local writers and critics. Further, Boston Classical Review will provide a regular source of significant high-quality musical events, which will also be spotlighted at The Classical Review, our national site.

As always, advertising support by the classical music organizations we cover as well as all who wish to support this project are crucial for the success of this enterprise. In addition to contacting me about coverage and editorial matters, I am happy to provide information about our low advertising rates and season specials for new Boston advertisers.

Look for Boston Classical Review to launch in September.
