Jane Glover has received a big vote of confidence from the board of Music of the Baroque.

The music director of the ensemble has had her contract extended through the 2018-19 season, ensuring that the English conductor will be leading MOB for another five years.

‘I can’t believe that this is already my tenth season with Music of the Baroque,” said Glover in a statement released by MOB. “Making music with this wonderful orchestra and chorus,  and for such an enthusiastic and committed audience, is both a great adventure and hugely satisfying.”

“Jane’s relationship with all of us at Music of the Baroque—musicians, board, audience, and staff—has grown stronger and stronger over the years,” said executive director Karen Fishman on Wednesday. “As we celebrate her tenth anniversary season as music director, she continues to bring out the best in us, and  we couldn’t be happier that she has agreed to an early extension of her contract.”

Music of the Baroque’s next program is February 22 and 24 with principal guest conductor Nicholas Kraemer leading a Handel and Haydn program. baroque.org.
