Music of the Baroque has rescheduled next Monday’s Bach and Handel program to 7:30 p.m. April 21. The Harris Theater performance, to be conducted by Nicholas Kraemer, was moved due to necessary repairs at the venue in the wake of last week’s electrical fire.

All tickets issued for the March 3 concert will be honored for the April 21 date. This Sunday’s performance of the same program will go forward as planned at the North Shore Center for the Performing Arts in Skokie.

Rescheduling the program at a later time in the same theater on the same day of the week is a major accomplishment for which the people involved deserve a lot of credit. Since virtually all the musicians involved will have other commitments for much of the time after the scheduled date finding a day where the theater is available and most of the musicians can also be available is comparable to solving a complex puzzle.
