Neeme Järvi will replace the ailing Christoph von Dohnányi in the latter’s scheduled Chicago Symphony Orchestra concerts next month. Dohnányi fractured his pelvis after an accident in his home and has cancelled six weeks of engagements while he recuperates.

Järvi, who received acclaim for his return to CSO last December after a long absence, will lead the scheduled concerts April 20, 22 and 23 at Symphony Center and April 21 at Wheaton College. The program is unchanged: Arvo Pärt’s Fratres, Beethoven’s Symphony No. 6 and Bartok’s Violin Concerto No. 1 featuring CSO concertmaster Robert Chen, as soloist. cso.org; 312-294-3000.
