No contract agreement reached; CSO strike will continue

In the last two days, it began to look like some common ground was being reached to end the week-old strike by Chicago Symphony Orchestra musicians.
But after negotiating for two days, the Chicago Federation of Musicians and the CSO Association ended talks Saturday afternoon with no agreement and, apparently, no progress on solving the contract impasse.
More dispiriting, there are no future meetings or negotiations scheduled at this time. That likely means a second week of canceled performances by the CSO as well as anyone else slated to appear at Orchestra Hall.
Check back for updates.

Alas….but the musicians should hold out until they are treated as the “World’s Best” by managment who has advertised them that way….
