“The Concert” by Gerard Ter Borch, 1675.

Music of the Baroque has cancelled all of its fall concerts due to Covid-19 and will not perform again until January.

That follows the example of Lyric Opera and the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, both of whom recently announced the cancellation of the first half of their 2020-21 seasons due to Covid-19 and the ongoing restrictions on large public gatherings.

A MOB spokeswoman said that the organization would announce more details on its retooled 50th anniversary season in the coming weeks.
